The Piecemakers Quilt Guild of
McCook is hosting a Spring Luncheon and Guest Day on Friday, May 2, 2008, from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm.
This event is being co-sponsored by NSQG. It will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 312 Seminole Dr., McCook,
NE. Janet Kugler of Holdrege will be presenting “Life Quilts”, a look at quilts from baby
to memory quilts. In addition to the salad luncheon, there will be a silent auction, take a “fat” chance
raffle, and door prizes. There will also be a quilt show of the Piecemakers Guild Past President’s Quilts.
The NSQG Raffle Quilt is making an appearance – tickets are still available! There is no charge for this
event and reservations are not needed. Come and have a great time enjoying the day with fellow quilters. If you

The Quilters
from Shelby, NE will be holding a Quilt Show during the Stromsburg Swedish Festival.
The show will be held in the Stromsburg Methodist Church June 20th and 21st. Friday
hours will be: 1 - 4 pm and Saturday hours will be: 7 am - 4 pm.

The Panhandle Quilt Guild
and the Oregon Trails Association are co-sponsoring the Oregon Trails Day Quilt Show. Dates of the
show are July 11th, 12th and 13th of 2008. It will be held at Gering Zion Church, 1100 “O” St., Gering,
NE. Hours are: Friday (July 11th), Noon - 5 pm; Saturday (July 12th), 11 am - 5 pm; Sunday (July 13th), Noon - 5 pm.
The theme of the show is “A Quilter’s Life: Traditions Old and New”. Special features
are Serendipity Quilt, Silent Auction, Viewers Choice voting, Featured Quilter, and 140+ quilts and quilted items.

June 20-22, 2008
The Prairie Quilt Guild of Wichita, KS, presents “Common
Threads 2008”, June 20-22, 2008, at Century II, Bob Brown Expo Hall, 225 W Douglas, Wichita,
KS, 67202. Over 800 quilts will be hung, more than 60 vendors in the Merchants’ Mall, on-going Demos, Charity
Quilt Making, and Exhibits by Fiber Artists. A Mini Quilt Auction will
be held on Saturday, June 21st.
There will also be a beautiful Opportunity Quilt. Tickets are $10.00 for one day; $15.00
for all three days. No children under six or strollers are allowed. We are privileged to
have Linda McCuean as a teacher. She will be offering the following
classes: 1) Chocolate Covered Feathers 2)Trapunto Techniques 3) What Makes
A Winning Quilt 4) Finish With Finesse 5) Finish With Finesse II. Linda McCuean is a MQA certified
judge who in addition to teaching will be available for entries in the judged quilt portion. More information
