The 2006 Show
Thursday, October 5, saw 36 vendors, from Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, North Dakota and Idaho, moving in and setting up their
booths. Mary and Roger Ghormley, with assistance from Shelly Burge and other volunteers, hung 28 bed and crib size quilts
and set up 23 doll beds and doll quilts. 56 bed size quilts, 93 lap size and small quilts, 6 garments and one life size doll
were displayed. All of these itmes were either blue or red ribbon winners at the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Nebraska State Fairs.
A total of 1,332 people visited Threads Across Nebraska 2006.
Attractions, for both days, included NSQG merchandise, display by IQSC, silent auctions sponsored by the NQSG Museum Project,
making blocks for QuiltPink, educational displays, quilt related demonstrations and quilt appraisals by Jan Sears.
All profits from Threads Across Nebraska will be applied to the Museum Project Pledge.
